Trina Calderón is a writer, producer, and director from Los Angeles.
A Film Independent Project: Involve Screenwriting Fellow, Trina wrote the feature Down for Life which premiered at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival. With G4tv (NBCUniversal), she produced and directed TV shows and shot comedy sketches and live shows at E3 and San Diego Comic Con. Trina was the co-executive producer of BBCAmerica's The Nerdist TV show. A published journalist and author, she's worked with many incredible visual artists making documentaries, and writing articles, essays, books, and museum and gallery exhibits. She contributes to Juxtapoz Magazine and The Believer, and her essays on the innovators of American graffiti from the late 1960's to the early 1970's are published in the book, Wall Writers: Graffiti in its Innocence. Her first short story collection, Once Upon a Time on Grateful Dead Tour was recently published and she's currently producing To Print and Die in LA, a documentary about L.A. printmaking legend Richard Duardo.
